You can buy 7.2 and it is good for 8.0.***.  If you buy Version 8, it might go further. If you don't like to Beta-test, wait for the release of Version 8. There are SOME bugs still left in Beta 8 but they seem to be going away quickly. I would (and did) go for Version 8 purchase. Version 6 purchase took us through to Version 7.2. Maybe Version 8 purchase will get us through to the next Version. I don't know. I don't think anyone knows at this time, not even JRiver.

There is another major difference between released Version 7 and Version 8.
Version 7 downloads will function forever.
Version 8 will stop working, and lock you out after 30 days.

I thought he was talking about buying a PLUS version. If you buy it, you won't get locked out after 30 days.
