compact DLNA audio players?
« on: December 16, 2013, 10:31:44 pm »

Time for my yearly query on the state of the art in standalone/compact DLNA audio players.

I've got a handful of the original Roku Soundbridge M1001 players at home.  They work very well and with the nice VFD display, look good too.

I bought them for an average price of something like $50- each on ebay and Amazon.

Still looking for that simple funcationality in a more modern package.  I know, 'if it ain't broke then don't bother trying to fix it'.  Gadget Lust sometimes overrides that common sense.

At the upper end are the insanely expensive Cyrus Audio (UK company) players (their US importer tends to charge > list).

Any options that are closer to the Roku stuff I already have?

Thanks!

Saw that and others in that size, is the Denon even available in the US?  Crutchfield doesn't list it.

teac seems to make some small compact components now though.
