PS Audio Bridge Connection Problem
« on: January 06, 2014, 09:52:56 am »

I recently upgraded a laptop to Windows 8.  Prior to that with Windows 7 I used a crossover ethernet cable between it and the DAC.  It worked very well.  The connection is there but the PS Audio DAC does not show up in the left column of JRiver.  I need help as to how to get the two to shake hands.  I am using the latest version of JRiver. Both units are also configured properly.  I also have the same problem with the wireless connection.  Could it be a configuration in JRiver that I need to change?

I have another Windows 8 computer which connects without a problem.

Welcome to the board.

Did you try a regular Ethernet cable?

Did you check the PSAudio instructions?  I'm not sure how it works, but try turning on the Media Network option in MC.

Thank you Jim for pointing me in the right direction. I went into the network settings and figured it out.  I can now use the wireless connection  or the crossover cable.
