start a streaming file?
« on: February 27, 2002, 04:39:27 am »

Whenever I click a link on a webpage to stream to my player (usually mp3 format) my PC/MJ wants to save the file as a m3u then I can open the playlist and everything works fine...I didn't have this problem with winamp or other players...where's the box I need to check to allow my pc to stream rather than download?

Also MJ streams MP3's great (once I open the saved playlist) but it won't stream an ogg file, it downloads each file before playing...Ideas???

I figured out the saving vs streaming problem...it was a windows / mj default setting that needed to be changed.  in Windows 2000 - My Computer, Tools, Folder Options, File Types, select a MJ file, Advanced and uncheck the boxed at the bottom of the window (Confirm open after download)

Still working on getting the OGG to stream vs download, maybe plugin doesn't allow streams???
