CES 2014 in Las Vegas Next Week
« on: January 03, 2014, 06:28:26 pm »

On Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, I'll be in the HDtracks booth in the Venetian Hotel helping our friends demo their Hi Res audio.  If you're at the show, please stop by and say hello.  The location is supposed to be 29-104.  I'll be giving out free eggs.

Here's how it looks so far:

I'll be giving out free eggs.

If you're serious, that's hysterical.

I was there for three days, and gave away no eggs, but I can still feel the wear and tear my feet and legs took.  Standing on concrete all day isn't what humans were meant to do.

I was in the Venetian Hotel, where about 300 high end audio companies were exhibiting.  Most had a hotel room.  I was with HDtracks in a ballroom on the ground floor.  If there is such a thing there.  The hotels are enormous.  It took me about 10 minutes each way to get a cup of coffee in the morning and return to my room.

I'll post a picture or two in a few minutes.

Your reporter (on the left) with an old classmate from college, who walked up to the HDtracks display to find out more about his newest passion.

Cary Audio showed their new music player, using JRiver Media Center on Linux.

Congratulations to Cary for building the first hardware product based on JRiver's Linux version!

And an unedited two minute slice of life at CES 2014, at the Venetian, in the casino.  No chickens were sacrificed during the making of this video.

The very good news is that most of the exhibitors who used digital media were using JRiver to show their work.  We're very grateful to them.

Also curious. Not expecting Pono to amount to much. Good luck to them though.
