Don't know if this is an installation, windows 8.1 or driver issue. 3D albums is completely non-functional, shows black screen only, no album art. In addition, clicking on 3D albums locks up MC requiring a force shutdown via task manager.  Uninstall/reinstall has not solved the issue.

The only possible hint is first install on W8.1 I noticed screen saying "Net Framework components" (I think) were necessary to be installed.  I accidentally skipped to the next install screen without having MC install these components.  Installer would not allow me to go back to previous screen (this should be fixed).  I have activated(and now removed) Net Framework 3.5 in Windows 8.1 "add windows components" but this has not solved the issue.  During reinstall attempts I have never seen the same install screen saying I needed to install any missing Windows Net Framework components.

If the solution is not obvious...I will run and submit any necessary logs.

Just bumping this back up hoping someone at J River can give me an idea what might or might not be the problem here.

I don't know that it is the problem but for comparison I'm on win8 and it works fine,
I have
Microsoft.NET Framework 2.0 SDK - ENU and
Microsoft.NET Framework 2.0 SDK (x64) - ENU
installed along with a bunch of C++ redistributables.
