Hi

I never was a fan of metadata lookup function in MC for the very simple reason it sometimes selected the wrong metadata information and never lets me choose from a list.

Now that there is TVDB support and a lot of improvement of TV functions I thought it is about time to write this thread :-)

What I am looking for is quite simple and common along other programs for media management:
1. slect one or multiple entries in DB
2. select "lookup metadata"
3. The program opens a new windows with a list of matches for my song/movie/series from which I can slected the correct entry to take the metadate from.
4. Within the window I have the possibility to enter/adjust search parameter to find the correct math if none are displayed
5. Multiple selections from DB leads to a queue that is the worked one by one....

Anyone for this feature besides me :-) ?

As long as you only select one entry in the database, it'll already bring up a dialog as you describe it.

I'd like to plug an old idea that's come up every now and then.

Instead of going completely automatic on a selection, why not allow the same thing as with cover art over multiple albums? Same kind of dialog, with the ability to select each movie or episode in the list and pick the right search result.

As long as you only select one entry in the database, it'll already bring up a dialog as you describe it.

phew never came across that - but that might because my music is already tagged for years and I haven't treid it in a long time and just remebered whe I tried the TV series metadata.
