JRemote set up with iPad and AppleTV
« on: January 21, 2014, 02:35:24 pm »

. . . is there a way to choose AppleTV as a "player", or will JRemote only function as the name implies, as a remote control for starting playback on my computer, where MC is installed?

Yes. Click 'this device' under zones in the lower left hand corner, then you should see the apple airplay symbol next to the volume control.

Thanks a lot! From now on, reading the iPad manual should solve the rest. :)

@datdude

Thanks for pointing this out, I use JRemote all the time however it is always in Portrait mode. I was using the quick access (swipe up from bottom option) and selecting my AirPlay device instead of the iPad. Never seen the AirPlay symbol, until I switched to Landscape, then voila!! Way cool!

I'm not seeing the airplay symbol when I select this device.  Is there any setup required first to be able to see the ATV?
