About those new rating stars in Gizmo
« on: February 08, 2014, 04:25:08 am »

Noticed in the latest update to gizmo that we now have ratings stars displayed and that you can finger over them to change them but it simply resets to whatever its set to on the server.

Just wondering will it be possible in future to rate form our android devices cause that would be so awesome, It's one of the features I have been longing for, That and being able to read the meta data that JRiver is capable of delivering.

Cheer's.

You can change the rating from Android, for it to work you need to setup Library Server Authentication (in Options -> Media Network) in MC though, otherwise Gizmo cannot change anything in the library.

darn that was a fast reply. :)

I enabled it in Media library and gave it a user / password.

What do I have to do to Gizmo now for that to work ?

EDIT, Never mind it works now.

Awesome work guys :)

The only thing I find odd is I enabled that, Gave it a user pass but I really didn't change anything on Gizmo. What I gave it as a login/pass is what I use to login to windows.

Is that normal or am I missing something ?

Just trying to understand the methodology.

Works great though, Gonna use the nuts out of gizmo now.

Maybe because you already had Gizmo running, it did not ask for authentication.  Close it and re-open, and it should ask for username/password.  You can check to have it remembered so you do not have to enter it every time.

Well started it fresh today and it never asked. I might have played around with that and set it and just forgot about it and so it remembers it.

Anyway nice job with that, Been wanting a feature like this so I don't have to go over to the PC every time I want to rate something :)
