Keyboard Shortcut for Ratings?
« on: February 21, 2014, 01:56:07 am »

Hey does anyone know if there are keyboard shortcuts to set rating for the currently playing song?

I want to set up my MCE Remote so that pushing the buttons 1 - 5 will set the rating accordingly for the currently playing music track.

Thank you.

Thanks.  I did look through that document.  But I missed it.

Found it now though.  But it doesn't seem to work currently?  I will have to hook up a regular keyboard to test though.  I currently use Synergy to control the HTPC via a keyboard connected to my notebook and it may not transfer certain combination keystrokes as expected.

TTUL.

Just plugged in a regular keyboard to test.  Doesn't seem to work.

Have you tried this on your system recently?

for me it works only with the numbers that are above the letters on the keyboard, but not with the ones on the numberpad at the right side. :) but that could be a logitech setpoint thing.

Ok I figured it out.  hehe.  I was watching for the change in the playlist.  But of course that is always delayed a bit if you do the rating at the top in the playbar (Which is where the keyboard shortcut does it).

Actually now that I figured that out it also works with the keyboard via my Synergy lol.

For your logitech try it with the Num-Lock on (Or off if it is already on).

I believe the Number Pad keys have different properties in MC than the regular number keys.  That is how you can use them to control the settings of the Milkdrop plug-in.
