On Fedora 20 XFCE, this build doesn't remember it's last closed size and position.  It always comes up centered in and about 75% of my virtual desktop which is 5 monitors.

Yep.  118 remembers it's size and it comes up centered in the monitor the mouse is in.  I just reverted and checked.  119 always comes up centered in the virtual desktop and sized to about 75% of the desktop.

Resizing is now usable.

Some observations on Linux Mint 16:

The cursor does not change when at the edge of the window from a pointer to something else that indicates you can resize. But if you go ahead and resize it works.

When you use the "minimize" icon (the square box between - and X) on the top right it work perfectly.

When you double click at the top of a window to minimize it takes 3 clicks instead of 2. Then the size is restored correctly but it moves to the top left instead of where it used to be.

Starting JRiver still gives me a 7" x 4" window (24" monitor, 1920x1200).

New in vers 119: all first level windows in the tool bar, tool tips and right click windows came up behind the main window.

I added extra hinting to those windows and removed the override_redirect (it's such a sledgehammer approach).
It seems however that your window manager just doesn't like that.
What WM are you using?
Are you using multiple monitors?

First things first, you guys rock, this is amazing. The 119 build just played pretty much instantly. Since I do have a Microsoft Windows licensed one, I do kind of know my way around a bit.

My experiences so far ...

I'm pretty new to linux, actually it is my first system, although it shouldn't bother you that much but just you guys know the league I'm playing in ... so please spare me a bit ...

I setup my little NUC (DC3217IYE) up using Mint 16 64bit version ... working just fine, Can get to my network and installed the 119 build and after figuring out how and where to set the output to my home made (I hope) Hi-End DAC. It's using one of the best DACs in the industry (Esstech's ES9018).

MC played all different rates I have. 44.1, 48, 96, 176, 192, 352, 384 kbps in both 16 as 24 bits according to the source. All rates setup to play with no change. Although my DAC could play 32 bits as well, I just have no source for it.

Made myself a smart play list with some test tracks I have (one for every sample rate) and when playing just through the list it shows the sample rate a little bit strange, starting from low to high S/R all went fine but getting from 88 kbps to the 96 kbps track the display in theater mode stayed at 2 channels, 88200 Hz but 0 kbps. The next track being 2 channels, 176400 Hz, 4236 kbps is fine again, as well as the 2 channels, 192000 Hz, 5534 kbps track and the 2 channels, 352800 Hz, 10817 kbps, and the 2channels, 384000 Hz, 18432 kbps but NOT the DSD (yes I do have those as well) based files. Below the DSD title nothing is displayed, no channels, no Hz and no kbps ...

Oh BTW, I had to copy all the music from the network to the local mSata to play the music, I don't know why but I can not get JRiver to look at my network based music share, the MS Windows MC one had no problem with the share on the Synology NAS. I'm wondering since that is a linux based machine as well ?

I can browse the network in Linux though and copy the networked based files to the local drive. So I thought this is maybe an MC issue and not a Linux one ?

What further draw my attention is that the volume stayed at zero, could be dragged to 100% but got back to 0 %, just played the music at the setup volume of my amplifier.

Before I forget, this is when controlling the MC through an iPad based JRemote app.

I'm working on the cursors and windows as well as dynamically loading of external libs.
I think this is a related focus issue. X won't let you set focus on a window if it's hidden by another and the different desktops seem to pay differing degree of attention to the hinting.
I may have to switch the window visibility before changing focus (or revert to the sledgehammer approach).

Don't know what the NAS problem is, I can use one here.
What path is your library loaded on (df -k from a terminal window)?
Switch to internal volume (right click on the volume control). System volume isn't supported at this time.

NAS problem solved, is not a problem. Just had to find out stuff about fstab etc.

Mentioned already that this is my very first adventure in the linux world ... mounted just with no probs now my DAC is playing music directly from the nerwork, cool.

df -k showed the proper ip/share and the mount point as well. Plus the expected size. Perfect.

Switching to internal volume solved to volume issue, thanks.

Noticed that the browse button doesn't  do a thing when importing from a single folder ... but I have the feeling that you knew this already !!!

Anyway keep up the good work, up to the next build ...
