Atoll compatibility MC19
« on: March 02, 2014, 09:11:02 am »

Hi everyone
I was happy when my friend Michel agreed to try MC19.  He got stuck rapidly because his ATOLL converter driver was nor found by MC19.  He is using this french HiFi brand converter.

http://www.atoll-electronique.com/atoll-convertisseur-dac.php

On my side of the ocean, I tried to load and run the Atoll asio driver without success :-(
I do not have this unit plugged, but the driver should be found by MC19 anyway?

Atoll is popular in France and I guess that JRiver should be able to recognized it?

Can you try it and tell me how you did it.

Thanks
jacques

Where did the ASIO driver come from?  It should be supplied by the device manufacturer.

Hi

The driver is found at the end of the Atoll page, you can download it there

My friend told me it was an asio driver, I did not checked that more deeply

Without the equipment it might not work at all.  It's not likely that it is an ASIO driver unless it says it is.

I think it's this driver:
http://www.thesycon.de/eng/usb_audiodriver.shtml

It says it is an ASIO driver.

Try a search for thesycon here and on the Internet.

If the device is not connected, it probably won't be listed.

Wow!
This thesycon driver page scared me just the form to be completed to get it. I do not understand the need to by the driver there while it's free on the Atoll web page?

The one downloadable on the
http://www.atoll-electronique.com/atoll-convertisseur-dac.php

It should work no?.

My fried have the unit plugged in and MC19 don't see it.  I don't have the unit to test it.

Do I have to install the driver in a special folder?

Ask Atoll how to install the driver.  Usually you just execute the exe.  You may need to reboot after that.
