lenovo miix 2 DSD playback
« on: March 09, 2014, 09:05:45 pm »

Hello all

I am thinking of purchasing a Lenovo Miix 2 tablet to use with an external DSD capable DAC. I am thinking if JRiver can be installed on this tablet and whether the tablet is powerful enough to play DSD

Many thanks for your help.

Here's a spec on the tablet in question:

Here are the minimum hardware specs from the Wiki (great resource that, I always recommend getting cuddly with it):
http://wiki.jriver.com/index.php/Installation_%26_Removal#Hardware_Requirements_.28Minimum.29
that by my understanding includes an Intel Atom processor.

I'll let those who are more familiar with the ins and outs of Intel hardware comment with authority but I reckon you're in with a chance for audio. DSD might be a push but I'd be guessing like you.
