Is that a compiz desktop?
I have noticed on Unity on 64 bit Ubuntu 13.10 it also comes up maximized.
I may have to get you a test build...

Nope...Compiz not even installed.

I can test any time.

EDIT:

And I turned off compositing to see if it made any difference.  It didn't.

KDE 4.12.3 here (openSUSE):

Sizing and cursor works when from the bottom of the MC window.  From the top corners, however, MC seems to think I'm moving and sizing at the same time and a second click is required to stop the window tracking with the mouse.  Then, the MC window kind of jumps to a new location, seems random.

DSP hover seems to be working correctly and the search box tip is not stealing focus.

Startup does not remember window location/size, it comes back centered.

Now: Debian wheezy / KDE 4.8.4

Great - first time I was able to tag songs in the action window! I did not have to start the Windows virtual machine! Great job - congratulations!
Drop-down selection in all database fields works. The selection box covers another window when it is opened (see picture).
The most dialog windows are properly centered in the middle of the main window. Only the confirmation window jumps into some corner of the screen.
Reszing is still somewhat difficult, but I think it's better than before.
Wma works not for me - it is just to hear a crackling noise. Do I need to install additional codecs? But this is not important for me, I only have a single CD with wma.
For me this is the biggest progress since a long time. Thank you again!

Hi,

The sizing icons should come up before you click on the corners / sides  and not after.  Their whole purpose imo should be to tell you when you have reached the sizing area.  The icons should then stay on when you click and disappear when you release.

Also weird bug that I produced by accident.  If you right click on previous on drop down menu while playing album MC will crash.

Thanks

I commented about the sizing/drag cursor icons in the release note above.
I can't reproduce the click on previous menu item crash, anyone else?
