Burning across the network
« on: February 20, 2002, 12:56:40 pm »

Hey Folks
I'm a newbie with Media JukeBox - just installed version 7.2.  I'm trying to copy to my local drive, but burn to another machine on the network with a CD Write drive.  Is this possible?  Couldn't find any information in help or FAQs.  Thanks in advance.

I don't think this is normally possible.  I have not heard of any software that can do this.  There are possibly some NAS (network attached storage devices) that can do it, but not home-level equipment.

You could do it the other way around... Go the machine with the CD burner and burn data that's located on a remote drive to a cd. Provided your network can dish up the data fast enough to keep the burner's buffer full...
