Won't play in portable player or car CD.
« on: February 19, 2002, 01:44:29 pm »

Downloaded the Media Jukebox yesterday also purchased the Media Juke Box Plus 7.2. Got a confirmation but no code or liscense number. I did make a back copy of the file though.
The CD I purchsed to burn are labeled as Home recorders. PC, Portables and car units.
I can only ply on the PC though. When I go into "settings', "options", and "CD writer settings" the last two items are grayed out, I.E. Add 2sec gap and "decode MP3 files directly to Cd."
What did I do wrong? Or was I supposed to receive a code of some sort to enter somewhere?

Your copy of MJ should be opened automatically.  No need to enter a code.  Please take a look at the FAQ here.

I think the license/purchase and the cd issue are two different things.  It sounds like the purchase went fine - if not, the Backup license option wouldn't exist.

When you created the CD, did you create an audio or data cd?  Also, there are some cd players that will not play any type of home pc generated CDR - it could be that your two fit in that category.  If they play CDRs from a friend's computer, that's not the problem.

I made audio CDs, but they only medium I can get to play them is the PC. They do not work on my car, portable or regular CD player. That is my problem. BTW, the blank CD were lited as playing on all mediums.

Used CRD, burned as Audio CD and MP format. The "convert " under settings was grayed out.
