Copy a CD?
« on: February 17, 2002, 09:37:21 am »

I don't see a one-step procedure for copying a CD to a blank CD-R in MJ.  I just want to make a clone of an existing data or audio CD but it appears that I cannot do this in one step.  Am I missing something?

Thanks.

NO

there is no option for that, use the burning software that came with your cd burner.

I was able to "clone" a CD by copying the whole CD and then writing all tracks that I copied.  This appears to work fine for cloning a CD although, for my purposes, it's unnecessary to change the encoding of the tracks when copying into MJ only to change back when burning.  Is there some way to avoid this encoding and encoding back?

Thanks.

Under Encoding Options, choose Uncompressed Wave.
