I'm afraid its still segfaulting for me on Arch.

I also removed the libcurl libraries from /usr/lib/jriver/media center 19/etc but doesn't help.

again, good here on openSuse.  And it also appears to have silenced a warning regarding OpenSSL (though MC continued to run fine) when building the rpm with alien.

Help, please. JRiver Media Center 19.0.129-3 for Debian
« Reply #6 on: April 23, 2014, 12:25:03 pm »

I have just installed MC 19 129-3 for Linux onto a HP Envy 700 series computer running Linux Mint Debian Edition (Mate) 64 bit (semi-rolling Linux distro). I've tried about every setting I could find on both the computer hardware and DSP, but It will not play the sound. My speakers check out fine and my computer will play files from Banshee and youtube. I get the message that

"Something went wrong With Playback.
Details:
Playback could not be started on the output 'ALSA' using the format 44.1 KHz 2ch. The output may not be supported by your hardware. You can use the DSP studio to change the output to a compat1ble format.

Can I get some really simple instructions from someone as to how to start setting up and selecting the DSP and/or my sound card hardware. I am using this computer to play through my stereo sound system from the speaker output on my sound card. I can supply more info if needed.

Thank you,
tlcmd

You ask a similar question as you are asking here now. You received a reply from Geier22 with instructions.

Did you try all 4 corners?
It can be pretty sensitive to hit the boundary exactly.
You can also try right-clicking on MC in the taskbar (if you have one) and try the resize there.

Hello. MediaCenter on Linux (Kubuntu latest version) doesn't allow me to upload the file key purchase. I tried several times but the window doesn't open. Nor opens the window too for the linking last.fm account. For that reason I'm not using much. The scrobbling is important to me.

Regards

Well...

1) MC for Linux doesn't use licenses yet.
2) Last.fm linking doesn't work either - known issue.

That shouldn't be too hard to get going with inotify. The API always looked pretty straight forward. :)
