How do I import Lyrics into MC?
« on: May 03, 2014, 01:53:29 am »

Is there any automated way for me to import Lyrics for my music library and have those lyrics automatically embedded in the "Lyrics" Tag?

If I may pile on, I'd like to know too.  Thanks.

There was an automated plugin way back in the day, but I don't think it works anymore.

But, dig around on the Third-Party forum, because there might be a variety of options now.  MrC's pscriptor.pl might even be able to do it.

This is a tough area.  The content providers and copyright holders want to make $$$ from providing lyrics (via advertisement revenue), so they make this more difficult.  And violators are actively pursued:

If you are using Theater View, there's no good way to show Lyrics pulled in real time, because there is no plug-in or other to pull the lyrics (and show the required advertisements).  In Standard View, you can use a Link to search sites like:

   http://lyricsfly.com

These don't fill the Lyrics field, but can open a browser window to help find the correct lyrics based on the Link's search criteria, which is likely to be your selected tracks Artist, Name and/or Album.

Never really liked that one. I liked EvilLyrics but it doesn't work for MC (unless there's a Winamp emulator plugin somewhere).
