Does a license allow to run an older version ?
« on: May 06, 2014, 09:12:17 am »

For my daughter I want to buy a MAC license. Does this MC19 license allow to run a MC18 ? I want to give her access to my MC18 Media server.

You are allowed to use Media Center on any computer that you own - a license is not limited to a single machine.

So you could install your MC18 license on her Mac (assuming that it is a Mac license) or upgrade to MC19 and use that on both.

Licenses are for a single platform only though - Windows/Mac/Linux are separate products.

My media server has a WIN MC18 license.
When I buy a new MAC license it will be MC19.

Until I upgrade my WIN MC18 to MC19 the MAC should run MC18 too. Will that work with a MC19 license ?
