Suggested feature - wireless sync/copy to PMP?
« on: May 05, 2014, 04:57:52 pm »

I've got MC to transcode and copy music to my phone quite happily (minor tagging glitches excepted), all done with the phone connected via USB.

I use Calibre to manage my eBooks on my phone and tablet, it has a natty built-in wireless server feature which, when teamed with Calibre Companion, allows me to see the books stored on my PC and copy them across wirelessly to my phone or tablet into a directory of my choice, ready for my eReader to pick up.

It would be rather neat if this sort of functionality could be incorporated into Gizmo for getting music onto my phone or tablet; the functionality and process could remain the same as via USB, only wireless.

I do stream a lot directly to Gizmo but phone network coverage for data still has its limitations and 'black holes' persist and I often find myself falling back on music stored locally on the SD card.

Is it 'do-able'...?

Not now.  Maybe some day.
