Playing Now MAIN currently playing song
« on: February 14, 2002, 04:07:57 am »

At work I have a Win2000 machine and the 205 build of MJ.
The currently playing song's text is blue which is now so I can see at a glance which song is playing.

At home I have WinXP and the 205 build of MJ.
The currently playing song's text is the same as all other songs in the view, the only difference is the loudspeaker icon.
How come this is different then on Win2000 ?

Does someone else also has noticed this ?
Or does someone else has a different color of text on the playing now with WinXP ?

Do you have the MEGA-ME skin turned on for the 2000 machine?

That'd be my guess.

Hi,

Same thing here :
Machine at work : WIN NT4 SP6 (not w2K) / MJ8 shows playing now song in blue   different icon
Machine at home : WIN XP PRO / MJ8 shows playing now song with different icon only

My guess : there's a hidden feature in MJ that detects wether you're listening
to your music at work or at home. Next Page

Well, I'm at work, and the track is not blue. So there goes that theory.

MEGA-ME skins were disabled for XP systems.

Everybody that says they have blue text for tracks that are playing have so far said they are on 2000.
Everybody that says they do not have blue text for tracks that are playing have so far said they are on XP.

So... can somebody who has 2000 AND blue text on a playing file, can you please disable the MEGA-ME skin and tell us if the blue text goes away? Thank you.

I'm ignoring mikeh's claims because I think he's seeing things. Next Page

MEGA ME skin or not on Win2000, track font is blue when track is, playing (not the blue bar when track is selected but the font itself)

On WinXP trackfont is NOT blue.

Is that clear enough ?

Win2000

If you look at the track playing in the library you only get the loudspeaker
If you look at the track playing in Playing Now then the font is Blue.

Everyones right.

Everybody, calm down.

Win XP does not support setting of a hot item in the list control, I guess we will have to switch back to Win 2000 Next Page

If the fontcolor is not possible in WinXP is it then possible that if the track is selected with the mouse, the selection follows
the playing song ?
