Any update on the issues with Sonar X3 and other DAWs?
« on: June 25, 2014, 05:03:04 am »

I see this topic went dead back in March. Unfortunately, it still happens. MC19 makes Sonar X3 crash. I've followed the workarounds (which, in itself, is not good enough for commercial software) and it helps a lot. However, if I've been using MC and then close it before opening Sonar I still get weird crashes - including (twice this week) BSOD. If I completely uninstall MC Sonar never crashes.

Have JRiver simply ignored this issue because it doesn't affect many people? Not good at all...

MC has a feature called "MC as ASIO driver".

It disturbs some other software.  You can disable it.  The features menu has a search at the bottom.

Hi JimH. Yes, as stated, I've done the workarounds. The problems do not go away completely.

Did you contact the publisher?

Some of us have been having issues with MC19 and Sonar X3 (and other DAWs) since January. If you search you will find the threads. Since the problem has occurred with Sonar X3 and Ableton Live (at least) I don't believe the problem lies with "the publisher". It lies with JRiver.

I don't doubt that there is a problem.  It isn't clear where it is.

Did you ask the publisher's opinion?

If you disable ASIO Driver in Options > General > Features, does the problem go away?  If not, can you detail specifically what the issue is?
