Gizmo Audio Playback Resolution
« on: July 08, 2014, 12:35:21 pm »

Bonjour,

I have read in this Forum somewhere that Gizmo Audio Playback resolution is set to MP3. Is there a way to configure JRiver MC19 or Gizmo to have Gizmo to play audio files to non-converted resolution up to 24 bits / 192Khz?  I use Gizmo a on Samsung Galaxy Tab 2.0 tablet - When I want full resolution playback - I use Bubble Upnp as the renderer and JRiver as the server. But I would prefer to have Gizmo to perform the renderer piece at full resolution.

Thanks in advance for your advices

No.  Sorry.

You can customize the quality between Low, Medium, and High, but all formats use MP3.

The EOS App has a transcoding off option:  http://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?topic=89392.msg613714#msg613714  Of course this means some of your higher-resolution (DSD) files will not play.

It would be great if an Ogg Vorbis 16/44.1 option was available in either app.
