For me playback of DSF files as PCM is broken. When I activate Bitstreaming DSD, everything's OK. When I choose to encode as 2xDSD also everything's OK (although I get crackling distortions but that's not the point here). But when I choose nothing to be bitstreamed, an error message appears when I try to play a DSF file ("Playback could not be started using the format 0Hz 64Bit 2ch. etc." The last Version in which this error message does not appear for me is .193. With .193 DSF files play at 352.8kHz.

Make sure that you have Sample Rate configured correctly in the Output Format DSP.
The options were recently expanded to include 352.8kHz and 384kHz, so you might need to double-check them.

What do I have to set them to? I have never configured anything there. So Output says "No change" for every sample rate. I understood that this setting is right.

Well it depends what formats your DAC supports.
It used to be that Media Center could auto-configure this, I'm not sure why it doesn't any more.

Hmm..the DAC supports PCM up to 384kHz (DSD as PCM worked with versions <= .103 at 352.8kHz).
Anyway, as far as I understand the sample rate configuration is for choosing what output sample rate should be used depending on a specifical input rate. Since my DAC supports all sample rates shown in the configration and I do not want to upsample, "No change" should be the right setting for the Output, no?
Also what I wonder is, why the error message says "0kHz"..

Are you playing 1x or 2x DSD files? Try setting Greater than 384,000Hz to 352,800 Hz

It's 1xDSD (2.822.400Hz).
Thanks for the suggestion, but it doesn't help. I still get the same error.

Set all outputs to 44,100 in DSP Studio > Output Format.  Then work backwards once it works.

I found out that I have to set the output rate for 352.8kHz to 352.8kHz. Now playback works.
Is this supposed to work this way? Is there (more) processing involved compared to leaving "No change" like in <=.103 ? Also, all other Sample rates seem to work fine with "No change" selected.

What DAC do you have and how is it connected?  Is it going through DLNA or Media Network?  Or is it just connected via USB?

It's an exaSound e20 connected via USB.

Setting the 352kHz sample rate to "No Change" would not work correctly.  This has been fixed and will be in the next build.  Thanks for the report!
