Problem for correct audio output format
« on: July 10, 2014, 03:44:23 pm »

Hi from Roma, Italy

I have a little-big problem with 19.0.144 (licensed) for MAC: I can not make selectables separately  files PCM and DSD: in Options, Audio, File Format, if I select the DOP option reads and displayed correctly DSF in library as DSD but also reads ALL PCM as DSD (every 44, 88 etc).

If I remove the DOP and put "none", all the PCM reads well (44,88, 96 etc) but also read all DSD as "352", does not see correctly it as a DSD.
I have one Dac Playback MPD-3. Under Audirvana with DOP selecting this problem does not...

best regards alessandro

You are enabling DSD Encoding, which converts all audio to a DSD output.
You need to select DSD Bitstreaming (Tools → Options → Audio → Settings → Bitstreaming: DSD) which will bitstream DSD to your DAC, and leave PCM alone.
