JRiver/Mac Mini/Synology NAS
« on: July 11, 2014, 09:30:19 am »

Loaded the library from the Synology DS214 NAS.
Played without problems.
If I switch the Mac off and boot up, say a few hours later,  when I try to play it tells me 'Files not found'.  From Finder it tells me the NAS is connected.  If I go to a track on the NAS it plays.....return to JRiver......and that plays properly too.
Obviously I don't want to go to the NAS each time I boot up before JRiver will recognise it.
Any assistance much appreciated.
I am 75 years old so not too technical please.  :-(

I,m using a headless Mac mini as JRiver audio server together with a Synology NAS. When the Mac mini boots, it auto-connects with the audio folder on the NAS. Under System preferences > Users and groups > Login options > Login items you can select the audio folder on your NAS.
