Pixel shader support
« on: July 13, 2014, 04:48:10 pm »

JRiver is missing pixel shader support.  While this may not be a big deal to the majority of your users, for those of us wishing to use lumasharpen it kinda stinks =/.  For instance on my plasma I can't see a difference with lumasharpen or without.  But on my front projector the difference is huge.  It makes mpc-hc look significantly better than JRiver.  Of course then I lose JRiver's extensive audio capabilities =/.

Madshi has stated on the doom9 forums that it could be added in to JRiver with only a couple lines of codes.  While he has also stated that he may eventually add pixel shader support directly to madvr there is no telling if or when that will ever happen.  So I am making an official request.  Can you please add pixel shader support for your loyal customers?  Thank you very much for your time.

P.S.  If you browse through madshi's thread on doom9 you'll see there are actually quite a few people who would be thrilled if you added this.

There are no plans for this at the current time.
