19.0.154 (7/18/2014)

1. Fixed: MC would not correctly parse some DVD's with an unusual authoring scheme.  The result was that we did audio analysis on the wrong title (like one of the very short menu titles).
2. Fixed: When editing an existing OpenCable television channel, the existing channel number was not automatically filled in.
3. Fixed: When creating a new STB channel, or editing an existing STB channel, MC did not offer IR device and port selection boxes.
4. Fixed: Field names with a dash in them cause problems when selecting them in a Smartlist for the sort criteria.
5. Fixed: Some expressions would evaluate incorrectly in the last build.
6. Changed: Increased Netflix API timeout length to 10 minutes as some API calls take longer than they should.
7. Fixed: When editing or creating a DVB television channel, "Is DVB2" checkbox was not offered.

File Converting from DSD to 176k FLAC proceeds quite slowly.  The actual file conversion from 0 to 100 (or xxxx)% goes quickly for each pair of files, then it just sits there pondering its navel.  During that time there is no noticeable CPU activity.  It may wake up in a few seconds, or a few minutes.  Eventually it will complete the list, but it takes far longer in between tracks than it does in the tracks.

I've only recently started using MC for this conversion, but this can't be normal, can it?

If changing from a 44.1kHz to a 96kHz file the last one plays very slowly with a very low pitch, like a 78 rpm LP played at 33 1/3. If changing from 96kHz to 44.1kHz the opposite happens, the pitch and tempo are higher like playing a 33 1/3 LP at 78 rpm.

Changing from PCM to bitstreamed DSD still causes a big noise.

I'm not able to reproduce this.  The output sample rate changes as expected.  Any tips?

Set Audio Device ASIO, Bitstreaming Yes (DSD), DSP Studio> Output Format> Output Encoding: 2xDSD in native format.

Start playing something at 96kHz then change to something at 44.1kHz without stopping. The latest file will play very fast with high pitch. Stop and play again the second file and it will be fine. Now, while the 44.1kHz file is playing, change to the 96kHz file without stopping. It will play very slowly with low pitch. Stop and play again the 96kHz file and it will be played correctly.

Start playing a 44.1kHz file then change to a DSD file. A noise is heard. Make sure the volume is low before changing to the DSD file. Stopping and playing the DSD file makes it playing correctly.

If stead of using ASIO you were using WASAPI and DoP, the same happens while changing PCM sampling rates. Changing from PCM to DSD there will be no noise or a very soft noise and no music.

I recorded the sound of this issue and emailed the recording to you?

My DAC is a Yulong Audio Sabre DA8.
