only got a read only version of jriver 19

windows xp stopped and i try to download jriver 19 on my new windows 8 i restore it put on the code got a message the the registration is complete push the right side button and the only thing i gott was a read only version.
Who can help me

We'll need a better explanation of the issue you're experiencing.

whene i click on the the jrivermediacenter 19 button then there is a window popup up with the message
this database will be opened in a read only mode.
any changes will be lost whene the program exits.
And is try to restore several times

Make sure no other Media Center processes are running.  Either open up task manager and kill any "JRiver Media Center" tasks, or restart your computer.  Let us know if that helps.

Manually add and load another library at a folder location you control.  Does that fix it?
