How can I get Media Editor to respond in XP?
« on: February 10, 2002, 08:20:02 am »

I just installed Media Jukebox on my new XP system and most everything was working correctly until I tried to use the Media Editor. It worked great in Windows ME but here it refuses to open a MP3 file. The "Decoding" box opens and immediately freezes. When I turn the program off Windows XP responds with a message asking if I want to send a "not responding" message to Microsoft since the program refuses to respond. I did so but don't expect much to happen. Anyone have any ideas how to fix this?

Thanx, Bob

same here, it is a reported bug with the "Open" button

a work around

do this open up media editor, select a file

do not click on the button "Open"

just hit enter

That's it King! THANK YOU!

Same darn thing. Could be just in the home version maybe? I hit enter and it works.

Now that I've got past that I'm having trouble saving an edited file. XP coupled with 512K RAM does wonders in speed but so far it keeps saving each version I edit to "temporary". It craps out if I try to save it as a replacement for the original file. This is getting to be more trouble than it's worth.
