Hi,

I am unable to get WASAPI loopback to work with Xonar D2X

1) I have Win XP with Xonar D2X on my desktop. Since MC needs another soundcard to capture system wide audio output (loopback), so I installed 'virtual sound card' from e2eSoft.
2) When I use  "Open Live->WASAPI loopback", I always get the message "Something went wrong with playback"
3) I am able to play a regular mp3 using MC though.
4) I also tried WASAPI loopback on my laptop. It has Win 7 and internal 2 channel internal soundcard. It worked.

Is there any other way (non JACK) to route a programs' output to JRriver ? Or Is there any way of choosing JRiver as the soundcard?

Any help would be appreciated.

I'm not sure if WASAPI loopback works on XP.  It might not.

I want to check other options before trying out Win 7.
Is there any other way (non JACK) to route a programs' output to JRriver ? Or Is there any way of choosing JRiver as the soundcard?

If the program uses ASIO you can use the JRiver ASIO driver.  Only a few programs use ASIO.
