Frequently analyzing audio
« on: August 06, 2014, 11:02:41 am »

Hi,

Sometimes, when I "auto-import" a couples of audio files, MC start to analyze a much greater number of files.  For example, 12 newly imported files but analyzing 4000+ files!!!

Here's my log:

Library
    Total files: 63674
    Audio files: 63670
    Image files: 0
    Video files: 0
    Other files: 4
Processing
    Thumbnails built: 11% (7293 of 63674)
    Audio analyzed: 100% (63670 of 63670)
Background Tools Running
    Library import
Power
No entries that affect the system power state
Media Center
    Version: 19.0.146.0 Registered
    Install path: C:\Program Files (x86)\J River\Media Center 19\
Interface plug-ins: Interface Plugins: TiVo Server (not running)
    JRMark: never run
    Memory used: 93,2 MB memory
    Handles used: 2928 handles

MC is analyzing file 1500 of 4934 right now.  But my log state that 100% of my files are analyzed?

Any idea?

Thank you.

That's a confusing one.  It works normally here.

Can anyone else reproduce this?

The reporter output is broken, it'll always claim 100% even if you never analyzed a single file. Its fixed in MC20, maybe we can also port the fix to MC19, but its not something that would solve your problem anyway.

So it could be that those files really need analysis.

What happens if you just let it run?

It sounds to me like the files have not been reanalyzed since the R128 switch.
