Yes, you can purchase MC20 now and use the registration key at christmas to do a restore.

I was under the impression that in order to get the 39.98 price one would need to have a trial version installed at that time... my computers all have a licensed version on them. this is where my confusion is..

or can i just close my licensed version download a trial and buy it that way?

I think no.

As soon as you purchase, the license will be emailed to the recipient. What you would call an extremely early Christmas present!

OK then how to just purchase a new copy for myself then...I closed my version of MC and downloaded it again but that did not work....

Great. both of these links are working correctly...one more thing is the email for the gift; can i leave it empty? as i don't want to send it at this time.

update: well leaving the gift to email empty does not work...the only other thing would be to put my email in there. so should i go for it...lol
