APE for a portable finally?
« on: September 05, 2003, 07:24:10 pm »

Since this player will offer flac compatibility, will this mean I can finally have a portable I can import all my APE files to?

Will this be something Media Jukebox will support?

If the player supports a format that MC supports, adding the ability to transfer it should not be too hard and we will plan to do it.

NO!!!

The player plays flac ,but this does not mean it plays ape or wma9 lossless.  Sorry .

Like you i'am waiting for a player playing or APE or wma 9 lossless.

Beside this Mj/MC does not support flac.....

I thought APE was a form of flac and that flac, like Linux, is just a standard that has many flavors. Am I wrong on that?

APE and FLAC are as different as MP3 and WMA.  Both are lossless, just as WMA and MP3 are lossy codecs.
