I have just paid for my MC20 pre-subscription and loaded MC 19 accordingly while waiting for the new version. Yet I cannot play anything above 192kHz with MC19. How come?...If I select MC18 as a media player it still plays DXD perfectly as before. Help! Isn't MC19 and 20 supposed to be upgrades?...
Check your Output Format settings in DSP Studio.
Until about a month ago, the settings went up to 192kHz and then "Greater than 192kHz".
Options for 352.8kHz, 384kHz, and "Greater than 384kHz" were recently added.
I'm guessing that you had "Greater than 192kHz" set to 192kHz or less.
When the change was made in 19.0.144, it really should have copied your "Greater than 192kHz" setting to the new 352.8kHz, 384 kHz, and "Greater than 384 kHz" options, instead of defaulting to "No change".
It would probably be useful if 352.8kHz indicated that this setting applies to 1xDSD as well, since that was previously covered by "Greater than 192kHz".
Technically DSD should be using the "Greater than 384kHz" setting, since it is 2.8MHz, but the internal PCM format that Media Center uses is 352.8kHz.
