jriver 19 on HP Folio 13 shows a portion of jriver on screen for over 30 seconds

when i hit the red X in media center to close it to tray it stays on my HP Folio 13 desktop for over 30 seconds, then finally closes to tray, I do not think this is a jriver issue (it doesnt happen on any other machine/device in home, or those i troubleshoot that have jriver installed on them) any ideas what may be causing this on our hp folio?
*all windows updates are up to date
*I've checked HP Support assistant, and it seems all updates, pc running healthy.
i noticed it seems only the display window is frozen, not the whole jriver interface.
