connecting to server
« on: August 13, 2014, 05:30:23 pm »

First off great product. I like it more and more everyday that I use it. My question is I have one computer that is the server and two other computers (clients) all on my home network. When I open JRiver on  either one of the clients the process of connecting to the server is slow. Are there any settings that would allow this connection to be more instant or allow the client to stay connected to the server.

You can connect by IP address if it stays the same.  That will be a little faster than looking up an Access Key.

What if I delete the connection to the server and map drives to each computer and let JRiver import the data from the map drives. This should achieve the instant on but are their any disadvantages to doing it this way?
