On a side note, I'm not receiving replies in my email about replies. ive checked all pc's, devices, and also logged in to msn/outlook account, nothing from jriver from these last posts since my last post yesterday at 4:50pm. (I've sent email to the address from my other accounts, and had friends send me test email, and all of those i received.)
Still not receiving any emails from JRiver from anywhere on the forum, and im subscribed to windows 19-20, mac 19-20, linux 20, Third Party Plugins, Remotes, Media Network, Androids and other portables, TV Cards & TV, PC's And Other Hardware...and many other threads within those forums such as this one. http://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?topic=89724.msg626118#msg626118 .

On average i receive a minimum of 10-15 emails from JRiver a day...None since the 13th (this Wed.)

Did you check your spam folder?  Microsoft blocked our e-mail for a few days when we sent a newsletter.

just checked outlook.com/MSN/Live and nothing from jriver in any folders including junk/spam, also checked all devices... pc's, tablets, and cellphones, and nothing from jriver anywhere for my registered email.
:(

*last email received (and sync'd with all locations/devices) is from 8/13

Last week (probably around the 13th) I remember Bob saying he was having even more problems with those email providers.  Not sure what the finally happened though.

So is there a problem with outlook.com?
I did not receive the activation mail when i registered.
I was looking all over the place for a contact address but found nothing.
To my luck there was this change mail address field and i did use a old gmail address.

Anyways - I did not change the address to outlook yet in my profile cause i think then
a new activation is required.

I remember that years ago that hotmail was picky when it comes to mail headers (RFC standards).
Some customers did not receive there order confirmation from my shop.
I had to change some stuff in Postfix.

really don't know what it could be, all I know is I've been with JRiver since ver 9, and always used and received emails to my msn account registered here. (this is the first I've ever experienced not receiving emails from jriver.)

Ok, just found some 4 days old news that whole mail servers from 1&1, GMX and Web.de where
blacklisted by Spamhaus.

We're not.  It's almost certain that the problem is on the Microsoft side.  You could test a gmail account or similar.

I really do not want to have to use a different email address...
1. it's worked forever (in fact this is my first email i ever created. no problems whatsoever except from JRiver starting on the 13th.)
2. I only want to use 1 email for personal use and that's the one i've been using that's registered with my JRiver account.
3. i've had no spam, junk ever on this email address, i use a different email for risky corresponding and that email is for possible junk/spam only.

A few questions ive noticed Microsoft will ask.. can JRiver please reply to these questions before i contact them.

1. " In order for us to better understand the root cause of the issue, may I ask the email address that you're having problems with for investigation." which email addresses do you guys send from? forum and purchase email addresses? I'm assuming it's the 2 shown below... mediacenter at JRiver and mlist at listserver?

2. "Did any of your senders mentioned that they are receiving a bounce message when they send emails to your account?" is there a way for you guys to see if the forum emails/purchase emails are bouncing?

3. "Does it happen to a specific sender?" it's only JRiver

I found this as a possible fix, which I do not think applies to me as shown below quote

You could also add all your contacts to the Safe Sender and Domains.

Anyway once I did this problem solved


When i goto Safe mailing lists "Manage which mailing lists are sent to your account. Messages to safe mailing lists will not be sent to the junk email folder." But as stated above, none of JRiver emails are even showing up in junk folder either. they are just not coming through...When going to my blocked senders there is nothing with the name of JRiver. When i go to my safe mailing lists there are 2 JRiver addresses... mediacenter and mlist

anyone else here in forums have a @msn account experiencing the same problem?

Please don't post e-mail addresses.  It attracts spammers.  I edited 4 above.

Microsoft should have records of our conversations with them from about August 1.

This is xtacbyme (I'm on my GF's account) seems i've locked myself out of my account.

I went to settings email, changed email to gmail, then i received a new activation email, i clicked that, then waited for one of my JRiver subscriptions to send me a reply email, that came in, so i knew that gmail worked.

I then proceeded to change email back to my @msn.com account, and did not receive activation email. So now i'm locked out, could someone please reactivate the gmail addy i had used, until i hear back from Microsoft.

MSN must have some serious problems going on... forwarding jriver emails doesn't work either. it deletes them from gmail, but are not received at msn even though they are being sent from me/gmail.

well i went to gmail and disabled delete after forwarded, and now the emails are forwarding to msn account.

When i add the * it just removes it after saving and brings it back to domain without the *
