« on: August 20, 2014, 01:21:44 pm »

I have just one folder i want to auto update. There i have ~100 testfiles.
But i have there also subfolders with BDs and test patterns and
don't want this stuff in MC.

Set up an auto import pointing to the parent folder.  Then add the folder you'd like to exclude, this time in the mode "Exclude this folder and all child folders".

I've thought about a mode that only imports the folder and never any sub folders, but the way the import works didn't make that very easy, so I didn't do it yet. Maybe I'll get back on that at some point.

@adamt, sure that was in my mind but i thought that can't be the solution
and i just don't find the option.
I don't want add 10 folders in there just to exclude them.
Every time i make a new subfolder there i need to remind me to add it as exclude in MC?

I cant believe that such a basic feature (this folder but not child folders) is not there.

How about excluding by name? Lets say exclude folder or file with the name "misc".

That would greatly reduce my list of auto-import folders.
Additionally, it would be nice if we could have auto-import rules which apply to multiple folders.

Since I don't use any drive pooling (too much trouble) I use the same rules on six disks, so any changes have to be made six times.
I suppose that supporting multiple folders under one rule could also simplify exclusions, if you want to exclude multiple sub-folders, but not all sub-folders. (though the option to exclude all would be more useful to me)
