I want to add distortion to the music, can I?
« on: September 02, 2014, 07:57:33 am »

Question, I know that JRiver tries to eliminate distortion, not create it, but I want to try to emulate the "tube" sound by adding harmonic distortion to the music.  Can I do this in JRiver?

when you want to use a vst plugin (or something like that) you can add that to dsp studio.

here's link to some free VST plugins, not saying that they will work for you or if they work in JRiver by the way.

and I remembered this from a clip in Everest which I was going to delete for whatever its worth  ... you could try this directly in JRiver.  Not sure about touching the 3K band though, lots of detail lost. (see screenshot)
