King - Yeah, but the img statement is supposed to imbed the image.  The ] is part of that statement, and is being sucked into the link text.

It may start to get a little messy now. Rewriting the code. Instead of encoding the post then decoding to modify, it will just encode when it is viewed. SO no decoding has to take place to edit it.

is there a way to tie in the message to word Frontpage spellcheck?

since i only went to the 3rd grade, then joined the work force this would help me out.
