[Solved] Wrong Movie Cover Art in Theater View
« on: September 12, 2014, 12:49:23 am »

I have a movie named Beauty and the Beast, and a TV series with the same name.  In theater view, the movie cover art is showing as the TV show.  It is displayed correct in standard view.

You can change this by right clicking the file in standard view and choose "Get Movie & TV Info" from the pop-up box.

yes, I did that...and it is right in standard view...but in theater view, it shows as the TV show Beauty and the Beast.

Actually...I think I just figured out why...I was using a custom view to group TV shows by series (IE: The Lord of the Rings), let me change that back to default and see what happens...

yep...that was it...I guess I will not use my custom view for now until I can come up with a work around.

Hi Muzicman0,

I had the exact same problem with "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy".  Having both the TV Series and the Movie, plus I configured Movies to display as series to have "box set" ability.  What I did was just rename the TV show, and the corresponding jpg file in the Cover Art\Series folder.  In my case, I just added (TV Series) to the name, and both display the correct cover art now.

If you have to change the series for a TV show or movie that share the same series name, it's better to change the movie's.
Scrapers depend on the TV Show's series field but don't use the movies.

Great point.  I guess I'm lucky that the series I renamed ended 33 years ago.
