Change base path to files?
« on: October 10, 2014, 09:17:24 am »

I have a library which has it's content on a removable drive. But I have moved it to my internal drive.

So I need to change the path to the media files from

/Volumes/foobar/Users/eric/Music/.....

Needs to change to

/Users/eric/Music/...

I thought an exported xml might help. So I exported the xml, and changed the path, but as far as I can tell there is no way to import the xml back in.

If that is not possible,
I'm mostly concerned about the ratings that are in the old library, Is there a way to transfer those ratings to a
newly imported library?

Thanks.

You want to run:
Right click > Library Tools > Rename, Move & Copy Files

Pick "Update database" as the mode.

Then find /Volumes/foobar/Users/eric/Music/ and replace it with /Users/eric/Music/

Thank you. I knew it had to be there somewhere.
