Question changing drives
« on: October 14, 2014, 10:07:51 am »

I just changed hard drives within the external enclosure (new drive cloned from the old one) I use to hold all my audio files. I had run out of room and swapped out a 4tb drive for a 6tb drive. The enclosure is the same and the interface is the same. Any attempt to play a song results in MC saying there is a problem. What do I need to do to get MC to realize that all the music is there; hopefully short of re-importing everything (23,311 albums). Thnaks.

You need to fix the path.  Use Library Tools > Rename, Move & Copy Files > Find and Replace.

If the drive letter changed you can do a find and replace.  See the topic called "Moving Files" on our wiki for more information.

Thanks guys. Seems that the OS changed the drive letter from F to E and once I changed it back to F through drive management in Windows 8.1 everything was copacetic in MC.
