have to clear & re-import new mp3 files to play properly...
« on: January 31, 2002, 04:59:05 pm »

keep getting message stating check path & filters when trying to play new downloaded/burned mp3 files in media library. files do play out of my mp3 folder w/no prblm (mj is default player).   after clearing & re-importing files in media library, they play with no prblm( filters are off). anyone has simple solution, thanx.

Patience. Next Page

Do the files keep playing fine after you clear and reimport them? Or do they not work again the next time you start MJ?

It's possible that the MJ database has become corrupt. This happens more often that it should in 7.2. Next Page

Try creating a new library and then importing everything in from scratch.

File -> Library Manager, then create a new library and load it. Then import everything and see if it helps.

Alternatively, you can try MJ 8.0.196 beta. It's coming along really nicely, and I haven't yet seen the database go bad.
