No Subwoofer Output
« on: October 17, 2014, 01:26:30 pm »

I run MC 20 on a Windows 8.1 media server with an Asus Xonar Essence STX and the 5.1 daughter card. 5.1 mixes all work/sound fine but no matter I set for DSP (source channels, 5.1, 2.1 etc) I cant seem to get any subwoofer output on stereo material. I can run the Xonar audio tools on the machine and the channel tests all pass and I can hear subwoofer output. Just not with MC with stereo sources.

Any suggestions?

Just love the progress you guys/gals are making with this product! Great work!

Could you post a screeshot of your output format settings?  How do you have the Subwoofer submenu configured?

Getting the full stack of speakers working right in Room Correction is the best way.

Use DSP Studio > Room Correction > Sub > Tone, for example.
