DVB-T2?
« on: October 24, 2014, 12:11:57 pm »

I just picked up a DVB-T2 tuner, but I can't get it to work w/ MC.

Issues:
1) The T2 checkbox isn't sticky

2) Guide mapping is wonky

3) No channels are found

It's a bug that was fixed a couple of days ago.  The fix will appear in the next build.  Once checked, the actual option works.  Its just not showing up as checked when you run the configuration.

That is because you have have not setup channels.  Those two entries in the screen shot do not belong because they are not "tuner" channels.  I wonder why they are even there.

Is that a different log than what is attached to the first post?

It could be that the antenna that came with it is useless. Just did some testing with the app that came with it on a PC I can move around, I could find channels using the on-the-house external that won't tune with the indoor one.

I am sorry, I did not pay enough attention.  No need for another one.

The log shows that we tried tuning to 27 different frequencies and all of them unlocked.  Do you know how many channels to expect?

There should be more than that. I built up a new PC with a fresh install of MC and did the scan attached to the external antenna. It was able to find channels, but then the PC BSOD. Probably not anything you're doing - I will see if the app that came with it can scan w/o failure in a bit. Log attached if you want to have a look.

I installed the app that came with the tuner and did a channel scan. It worked (155 channels found).

Then I did another channel scan in MC. It worked.

There were two differences b/w the success (2nd run) and failure (BSOD 1st run):

1) I had a 3.5HD attached in the 1st run (it was out the 2nd time)
2) I selected my AVR as the default audio device before the second run (it was the new MC audio "device" in the 1st run).

Channel mapping is still a bit wonky.
