Microsoft Visual C++ error when starting MJ8

I am getting an error when starting MJ8-

Microsoft Visual C++
Runtime error!
Program   C:\......\Media Jukebox.exe
The Program has requested runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the application's support team for more information.

I am using Windows XP Professional. I have administrative control. What is this?

I don't know.  I'm assuming you have 8.0.394 from the downloads page.

Try updating your OS and your drivers.  Otherwise, I really can't help.
