Pause turns to Stop after a couple minutes? Setting?

Ever since I upgraded to v20 whenever I pause my music it seems to convert to a "Stop" after a minute or two.  I haven't tried to see how long it takes to happen as I usually leave my desk and come back a few minutes later.

I wonder if this has something to do with MC being able to act as a sound card - maybe it feels like it needs to completely stop playing so it can resume its soundcard duties?

Is there a setting I'm missing somewhere that would change this behavior?
